Sadly all good things must come to an end, and the fate of Xaphoon Jones has been decided.
The man behind Xaphoon Jones, Noah Beresin made it official today as he released his last remix ever under the alias.
Taking on everyone’s favorite Grouplove song “Ways To Go“, Xaph puts his experimental style to work creating a down-tempo chill remix.
The tone from this remix is fitting for the final piece from Xaphoon Jones. With a slight bounce from the bass, and the sustained vocals this remix acts as if it’s walking off to the horizon knowing it’s never coming back. Then again, if you listen to the lyrics from the chorus it acts as almost a tease for a resurrection in the future.
Most people know Xaphoon Jones as the genius behind the dope samples and remixes from his time with Chiddy Bang. Others know him from his experimental solo remixes. Regardless he will be missed.
But for those thinking the man behind Xaphoon Jones is dead, fret no more. Noah will continue producing for other artists under the new name Noah Breakfast. So we got that going for us.
If you are hanging in the Philly area this New Years, be sure to catch Xaphoon Jones for his last live set with Baauer and Swizzymack. (Tickets)
RIP Xaphoon Jones 2008 – 2013
Kygo brings us some morning chill music with his remix to Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire”.
Kygo brings us yet another great remix for the laid back morning person in us all. The 22 year old producer from Norway takes on Ed Sheeran’s latest single for The Hobbit, “I See Fire”.
Capturing the melodic guitar riff from the original and enhancing it to sound more like a Navajo flute works perfectly with the subtle electronic vibes from the rest of the remix.
For those of you who have not heard the original by Ed Sheeran, check out the official music video below.
This trap remix by Subtronikz to Avicii’s “You Make Me” will make your face melt.
Think I’m kidding about the whole face melting thing….well think again. Subtronikz hikes up the tempo a bit while adding some favorable trap elements to what seems to be the fall EDM anthem thus far.
This remix is fitting for even those of you who do not take a particular liking towards trap music. Give this a listen and let us know what you think. Enjoy!
